The Codex
How a sigil is computed, and what the Field Mirror is — and is not.
A Spiral Breath sigil is not generated art and not a random pattern. It is computed from the session you actually practised: the lengths of your breath phases, how many cycles you completed, how closely you followed the pacing, the tone you chose, and the moment you began.
Practise the same exercise twice and you will see a familiar shape. That is the point — the figure is a picture of the practice, so a repeated practice produces a related form. What changes between two sessions of the same exercise is the starting angle, taken from the time you practised, the inner triangle drawn from your coherence, and the ring colour.
Ten systems, one sigil
Ten geometric systems run simultaneously. The result is a single form that carries the structure of your practice.
What you can actually predict from a sigil: the number of arcs comes from your inhale and exhale lengths alone — holds do not change it. The open centre comes mostly from your anchoring period, and stops widening after about three minutes. The inner triangle comes from your coherence.
Knowing the ten names will not let you predict a sigil. Those three inputs are the ones that visibly change what you see.
The Codex Field Mirror
Reflect can present your practice back to you as a set of field readings — an interpretive layer drawn from traditions that use symbolic vocabulary for inner states.
The Codex Field Mirror is a symbolic reflection framework derived from your practice data. Its field, dimensional and biological language is interpretive and is not a physiological or medical measurement.
Spiral Breath measures three things and three things only: the timing of your breath against the pacing, breath detection through the microphone, and whether you completed the session. Everything in the Field Mirror is a symbolic rendering of those numbers, expressed in the vocabulary of contemplative and esoteric practice.
Nothing here describes anything happening in your cells, your genome or your physiology. Spiral Breath+ is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything.
A reading looks like this:
Where the values come from
They are derived on your device from your own practice data — average coherence, number of sessions, your practice stage, the feelings you logged, and your dominant breath pattern. No external service is involved, and nothing is uploaded to produce them.
If you use an Architect platform, you can send those readings out and receive an interpretation back. That is a conversation you choose to have; it is never automatic, and Spiral Breath works fully without it.
Taking it as seriously as you like
For one practitioner these readings are a ritual object. For another they are a way of noticing a pattern in their own practice. For a third they are simply an unusual way to look at a fortnight of breathing data.
All three readings are correct. Your practice creates the form. You give it meaning.
